2.1Dasa kusalakammapathe,Without exception I followed2.2vattāmi anavasesato;the ten ways of skillful deeds.2.3Catūhi saṅgahavatthūhi,With the four ways of being inclusive,2.4saṅgaṇhāmi mahājanaṁ.I brought together the population.

3.1Evaṁ me appamattassa,As I was being diligent,3.2idha loke parattha ca;for the sake of this world and the next,3.3Dabbaseno upagantvā,Dabbasena attacked3.4acchindanto puraṁ mama.and sacked my city.

4.1Rājūpajīve nigame,The royal dependents in the city,4.2sabalaṭṭhe saraṭṭhake;with the military and the citizens—4.3Sabbaṁ hatthagataṁ katvā,he captured them all,4.4kāsuyā nikhaṇī mamaṁ.and buried me in a pit.

5.1Amaccamaṇḍalaṁ rajjaṁ,The court ministers, the flourishing kingdom,5.2phītaṁ antepuraṁ mama;and my royal court—5.3Acchinditvāna gahitaṁ,were captured and held,5.4piyaṁ puttaṁva passahaṁ;I even saw my beloved son.5.5Mettāya me samo natthi,There is no one to equal my love:5.6esā me mettāpāramī”ti.this is my perfection of love.”

6.1Ekarājacariyaṁ cuddasamaṁ.
