1.1“Vihari apekkhaṁ idha vā huraṁ vā,A knowledge master, peaceful and self-controlled,1.2Yo vedagū samito yatatto;is rid of concern for this world and the world beyond.1.3Sabbesu dhammesu anūpalitto,Unsullied in the midst of all things,1.4Lokassa jaññā udayabbayañcā”ti.they’d know the arising and passing of the world.

1.5Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā puṇṇamāso thero gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.That is how this verse was recited by the senior venerable Puṇṇamāsa.
