1.1“Sukhaṁ supāhi therike,Sleep softly, little nun,1.2Katvā coḷena pārutā;wrapped in the cloth you sewed yourself;1.3Upasanto hi te rāgo,for your desire has been quelled,1.4Sukkhaḍākaṁ va kumbhiyan”ti.like vegetables boiled dry in a pot.

2.1Itthaṁ sudaṁ aññatarā therī apaññātā bhikkhunī gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.That is how this verse was recited by a certain unnamed nun.
