1.1“Musalāni gahetvāna,“Taking a pestle,1.2dhaññaṁ koṭṭenti māṇavā;young men pound grain.1.3Puttadārāni posentā,Providing for partners and children,1.4dhanaṁ vindanti māṇavā.young men acquire wealth.

2.1Karotha buddhasāsanaṁ,Do the Buddha’s bidding,2.2yaṁ katvā nānutappati;you won’t regret it.2.3Khippaṁ pādāni dhovitvā,Having quickly washed your feet,2.4ekamante nisīdatha;sit in a discreet place to meditate.2.5Cetosamathamanuyuttā,Devoted to serenity of heart,2.6karotha buddhasāsanaṁ”.do the Buddha’s bidding.”

3.1Tassā tā vacanaṁ sutvā,After hearing her words,3.2paṭācārāya sāsanaṁ;the instructions of Paṭācārā,3.3Pāde pakkhālayitvāna,they washed their feet3.4ekamantaṁ upāvisuṁ;and retired to a discreet place.3.5Cetosamathamanuyuttā,Devoted to serenity of heart,3.6akaṁsu buddhasāsanaṁ.they did the Buddha’s bidding.

4.1Rattiyā purime yāme,In the first watch of the night,4.2pubbajātimanussaruṁ;they recollected their past lives.4.3Rattiyā majjhime yāme,In the middle watch of the night,4.4dibbacakkhuṁ visodhayuṁ;they purified their clairvoyance.4.5Rattiyā pacchime yāme,In the last watch of the night,4.6tamokhandhaṁ padālayuṁ.they shattered the mass of darkness.

5.1Uṭṭhāya pāde vandiṁsu,They rose and paid homage at her feet:5.2“katā te anusāsanī;“We have done your bidding;5.3Indaṁva devā tidasā,we shall abide honoring you,5.4saṅgāme aparājitaṁ;as the Thirty gods honor Indra,5.5Purakkhatvā vihassāma,undefeated in battle.5.6tevijjāmha anāsavā”ti.Masters of the three knowledges, <j>we are free of defilements.”

6.1Itthaṁ sudaṁ tiṁsamattā therī bhikkhuniyo paṭācārāya santike aññaṁ byākariṁsūti.That is how thirty senior nuns declared their enlightenment in the presence of Paṭācārā.
