2.1Ghaṭetha buddhasāsane,Work at the Buddha’s bidding,2.2yaṁ katvā nānutappati;you won’t regret it.2.3Khippaṁ pādāni dhovitvā,Having quickly washed your feet,2.4ekamantaṁ nisīdatha.sit in a discreet place to meditate.

3.1Cittaṁ upaṭṭhapetvāna,Establish the mind,3.2ekaggaṁ susamāhitaṁ;unified and serene.3.3Paccavekkhatha saṅkhāre,Examine conditions3.4parato no ca attato”.as alien, not as self.”

4.1“Tassāhaṁ vacanaṁ sutvā,“After hearing her words,4.2paṭācārānusāsaniṁ;the instructions of Paṭācārā,4.3Pāde pakkhālayitvāna,I washed my feet4.4ekamante upāvisiṁ.and retired to a discreet place.

5.1Rattiyā purime yāme,In the first watch of the night,5.2pubbajātimanussariṁ;I recollected my past lives.5.3Rattiyā majjhime yāme,In the middle watch of the night,5.4dibbacakkhuṁ visodhayiṁ.I purified my clairvoyance.

6.1Rattiyā pacchime yāme,In the last watch of the night,6.2tamokhandhaṁ padālayiṁ;I shattered the mass of darkness.6.3Tevijjā atha vuṭṭhāsiṁ,I rose up master of the three knowledges:6.4katā te anusāsanī.your bidding has been done.

7.1Sakkaṁva devā tidasā,I shall abide honoring you7.2saṅgāme aparājitaṁ;as the Thirty gods honor Sakka,7.3Purakkhatvā vihassāmi,undefeated in battle.7.4tevijjāmhi anāsavā”.Master of the three knowledges, <j>I am free of defilements.”
